Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
In 1998, I was diagnosed with a neurological disability called Friedreich’s Ataxia. The disease progressed to the stage of needing a wheelchair. In the summer of 2000, my mother passed away from brain cancer. God used those two life-altering moments to shape my faith and, ultimately conform me to the image of his son, Jesus.
Life has not been full of only misery. I have attended college, earned masters degrees, and worked 12 years for the state as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. God has been just as faithful to use those victories as he has the trials.
Now, I am retired and volunteering with the leadership at my church. As well as chasing the childhood dream of publishing my writing. At every turn, I face the relentless assault of a progressive disability and the challenges that brings.
My hope for this blog is to chronicle my faith journey as I take steps in trust and obedience. I will post blogs of insights learned, struggles, and aspirations. I hope you will come along with me, as we catch a glimpse of the one who holds our world and being together.
